Breathwork works by transporting you into an altered state of consciousness through deeper, faster breathing. Breathwork shifts us from our sympathetic nervous system that enables flight or fight responses, to our parasympathetic nervous system, that allows for rest and recovery. Breathwork is a way of breathing that allows the body, mind and soul to release what is not serving you and give you more energy.
Did you know we only use 1 litre of our 6-7 litre lung capacity on average. By undertaking regular breathwork, we can increase our lung capacity and increase the oxygen to the blood. Changing the body's blood chemistry and focus more on the prefrontal cortex in the brain, which can give us insights that we are not consciously aware of.

Breathwork is being touted as the new yoga/ mindfulness approach and is taking the wellness space by storm. It’s been around for a long time and is used in many different yoga approaches. It is an amazing way of releasing energy that is not serving you and helping you to gain clarity over any decisions you need to make. You do not want to miss out on experiencing this.
